At least 22 people are confirmed to be dead Tuesday following a tornado that hit the city of Nashville, Tennessee overnight.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints spokesperson Daniel Woodruff confirmed to Lone Star Saints early Tuesday morning that all missionaries in the area have been accounted for, bringing relief and comfort to families and friends.
The Church is also working to respond to immediate needs and provide resources to victims regardless of their faith.
As often seen during times of disaster Church resources are often some of the first to reach those in need.
Local authorities are working to get an idea of what resources are immediately needed on the ground.
The deadly tornado ripped through the region overnight as a storm system made its way across the southern states.
